Nominations for Handicap Hurdles, Handicap Flat, and Flying Handicap, must be in the hands, of the Secretary not later thau 8 p.m. on the 27th day of November. Weights will appear on the 4th of December, and acceptances and general entries close oh the 18th December, at 8 p.m. All communications to be addressed to the Secretary, Makotuku. Qualification Fee 10s. • CONDITIONS. Hawke's Bay Jockey Club's Rules will be strictly adhered to. Horses walking over to receive 50 per cent. The decision of the stewards to be final in all cases. No nomination or acceptance will be received unless accompanied by the actual amount in cash. Five per cent deducted from gross amount of all stakes. Hack (for open races) shall* mean any horse that has never won a weight-forage or handicap race (hack race accepted) or that is not , nominated for any Derby, Guineas, St. Leger or Sapling Stakes. District Hack shall mean any horse that has been in the district for three months previous to the day of the rase, and is nominated by a bona fide resident of the district of thrae month's standing. Horse never to have been in a weight for age or handicap (hack race excepted. ) District to consist of the Ormondville and Norsewood Road Districts and Ormondville Town District. In all nominations for open racee pedigree and performances must be given. All horses to be ridden in distinguishing colors which must be given at time of entry. Admission — Foot passengers, Is.
