WELLINGTON ITEMS.
Wellington, Nov. 30. Mr Twopeny, the executive commissioner of the proposed Dunediii exhibition has had several interviews with Ministers, to -whom he explained the aims of the scheme and the assistance desired from the Government. It is understood that the Government are favorably disposed towards the project. The City Corporation offices were lighted by electricity for the first time last evening, with satisfactory results. The representative of tjie Gulcher light now here proposes to light a portion of Lambton Ward on Tuesday night by means: of a powerful lamp whioh has just; arrived from London. Visitors to the Wairarapa distriot report that the orops are looking splendid and promise a substantial yield. ,
