The City Council have adopted a recommendation from the committee to 'refuse, the basin reserve for the English,.. Native, and Auckland football teams. It is doubtful now if the English team will play here on their return, as they object to playiDg in the Newtown Park. Archdeacon! The rabbit commission has dispersed to meet in Sj-dney some time hence after the experiments with M. Pasteur's chicken cholera have • been completed. The New Zealand representatives leave Sydney for New- Zealand to-day.
