A HORRIBLE DEATH.
An old man named Stephens met with a horrible death near Paramatta a little while ago. Having lost. his way he made a. fire at the root of a tree and- went to sleep. The flames ascended the tree and just as the man noticed his danger a burning branch fell and pinned him to the ground, the flames playing about his face and neck. He lay in agony all night, and died in the morning whilst being conveyed to the Hospital.
