NORSEWOOD ROAD BOARD.
At the ordinary monthly meeting the following members were presentMessrs O. Norclbye (chairman), A. Andersen, J. Hansson, J. Johansen, and M. Muller. Correspondence— From the Commissioner of Lands stating that the Board's application or a grant of .£IOO to make the new road to German Line was under consideration. From the Paymaster-General notifying that ,£ll4 4s 5d (rates on Native Lands) had been placed to their credit, also the sum of £]0 17s 7d, being balance of subsidy applied for under the Local Bodies Powers and Finance Act. From Air W. Price, Norsewood, asking that his deposit of £2 on Lund's Hill contract be returned him on account of a misunderstanding about the specifications. After hearing the particulars the Board decided to return the deposit. On the motion of Messrs Hansson and Anderson it was resolved to construct 80 chains of bridle-* rack (Bft wide) to Section 20, Block II L The Clerk was instructed to write to the Commissioner of Crown Lands asking for the grant of a section for the erection of a Road Board office, and when grant was obtained to invite tenders for building same. Messrs Johansen, Nordbye and Hansson were appointed a committee to attend to this matter and open tenders. Thero was only one tender received for the lease of reserve on German Line, namely, Mr Larsen's, at 12s per annum, which was accepted. Nielsen's account for 16s and Muller's for 7s were passed for payment, and the Board adjourned.
