DEATH OF MR WALTER BACHE.
.: iThe, death, is announced of Mr Walter Bache, the weli known pianist, and also one of the first pioneers, ana always the most constant and unselfish :of champions in England, of the ••" muMC of the' future" in general, and of : the' works of the Abbe" Franz Liszt ..in particular. Theeveut, which took .place at his house,. 17, Eastbourneterface, was very sudden. Mr Bache, 'says the Daily iTcws, caught a chill a ; few days ago, but as the illness did not assume a serious aspect' until a few hours before his decease its fatal termination was wholly unlooked for by his relatives, few of whom were even aware of his being unwell. It was indeed little more than three weeks ago that, when apparently in the best of health, he was seated in St. James's Hall, listening with an interest which almost bordered upon excitement to Mr Bartyigson's performance of Liszt's "Dance of Death."
