NOW BRIGADIER
LIEUT.-COLOXEL F. L. HUNT
-A-t 3- court-martial held, in Suva recently, it was stated that the president of the Court was Brigadier F. - I s ? was t^le A rst mention received in New Zealand of the anpointment of this officer to the rank of brigadier. He formerly held the rank of lieutenant-colonel. Associated with the army for over 30 years, Brigadier Hunt is a well- ? noW u regular soldier of this country. He began as a Dunedin Citv Guards volunteer in 1909, joined the Territorial force when it started in 1911, and received his commission He served in the last war as a 1 eul t e "am wnh the sth Reinforcement !?• e S im ent, and was mentioned' m dispatches. He was severely wounded at Gallipoli.
