Mr. W. B. Darlow, vice-president of the Auckland Manufacturers' Association, left for Wellington last evening on business.
Mr. F. G. Young, a member of the Industrial Emergency Council, arrived from Wellington by the Limited this morning.
Mr. T. E. Henry, barrister and solicitor of Auckland, has been appointed to fill a vacancy on the council of the Auckland Law Society for the remainder of the year.
Mr. W. H. Cocker, president of the Auckland University College, and Mr. A. H. Johnstone, vice-president of the college, leave for Wellington by the Limited this evening.
Mr. J. A. C. Allum, controller of the Northern E.P.S. District, left to-day for Whangarei, where he will meet representatives of North Auckland emergency precautions services at a conference to-night.
Mr. L. A. Eadv, president of the Auckland Chamber of Commerce, and Mr. N. B. Spencer, past president of the Auckland Chamber of Commerce and vice-president of the Associated Chambers of Commerce of New Zealand, left for Wellington this afternoon to attend a meeting of the executive of the Associated Chambers of Commerce of New Zealand.
