DIVORCES GRANTED.
On the ground of desertion in that she declined to return from her parents' home and live with him when he was ready to give her a home some months after their marriage, Hugh Hudson, labourer, Waiuku (Mr. Henry) petitioned before Mr. Justice Fair in the Supreme Court to-day for divorce from Frances Caroline Hope Hudson. Petitioner said they were living with the wife's parents in Auckland when he had to go to hospital some months after their marriage. When he recovered from the illness and went back to stay with his wife at her parents' place she did not seem to want him. He went to live with his own people till he was able to work and then got work and made several unsuccessful efforts to induce his wife to return and live with him at a home he was ready to provide for her. He was not friendly with the wife's mother, he said, and he attributed the wife's attitude to him to the mother's influence. A decree nisi was granted. On the grounds of reparation by mutual agreement for more than three years Laura Pearson, of Waiuku (Mr. Henry) was granted a decree nisi of divorce from Charles Henry Pearson.
