GUN CLUB.
PATRIOTIC SHOOT, MANGEBE
A well-attended meeting took place on the club's grounds at Mangere, when the principal item of interest was one of a series of shoots in the skeet gun competition in aid of the Patriotic Fund. The ehooter returning the highest aggregate score from ten rounds of skeet under competition rules, will be the winner. The competition is attracting wide attention, and already a very satisfactory sum has been contributed, all of which will go to the Patriotic Pun
Further items cf interest were the club skeet championship, over two rounds. Eleven competitors took part in this event. The shooting was not of a very high standard, but a popular win resulted when the veteran, F. H. Seccombe, took championship honours. A competition for a special trophy, donated by E. W. Colebrook. was won by Mr. C. A. Whitney, another veteran shooter and keen member of the club. Fur-her rounds of skeet concluded a very busy and successful afternoon.
