"ON THE CARPET."
WELLINGTONIANS SUSPENDED. (P A.) WELLINGTON. Tuesday. The chairman of the management committee of the Wellington Cricket Association at the weekly meeting to-day reported that the explanations given by two Midland club players, W. Hepburn and R Crawford, as to why they did not play for the Town team against the Country eleven on Saturday and yesterday were unsatisfactory. The subject was considered in committee, and on resuming in open meeting it was decided that the two players should be suspended for two playing Saturdays unless they can satisfy the chairman of the committee they had good and sufficient reasons for not playing in the match.
