WHEAT, BABLEY, MAIZE, The Auckland Grain, Seed and Product Merchants' Association reports:— Wheat.—There is a steady demand for wheat, orders being supplied ex merchants' store stocks at 7/3 to 7/4 per bushel. Bookings are now being made for dispatch ex shipment due about September 23. Barley.—The demand for both undipped and clipped continues and immediate orders are being supplied from merchants.' store stocks: Undipped, 4/10 to 4/11 per bushel; clipped, 5/3 to 5/5. Bulk orders will be delivered ex shipment due about September 25. Australian Pollard.—Stocks are extremely light and the demand being supplied as far as possible in limited quantities. Australian Bran.—Good stocks are held and merchants are in a position to meet in full any demand. Price from merchants' stores. £9 10/ to £9 15/ per ton. Wheatmeal.—Oood supplies of this line are available and offered as a substitute for pollard. The price is unaltered at £10 10/ per ton. less V 4 per cent for a minimum of one ton. Lesser quantities, £11 5/ to £11 10/ per ton net. Chaff.—Heavy offerings are now being made from the South and the market is inclined to weaken. Prices: £12 to £12 15/ a ton. Oats.—These are scarce, a difficulty still being experienced in securing graded. Price: 5/9 to 6 1 per bushel.
