GAMING HOUSE CHARGES.
DARGAVILLE, Sunday. A police party under Detective J. B. Finlay raided four suspected gaming houses in Dargaville yesterday. The men taken on the premises were immediately brought before Messrs. B. Berry and A. C. Bull, J.P.'s. For keeping a common gaming house. James Vodanovich was fined £25, Mate Peko £35, Raymond Allen £25 and Donald Colder £25. All pleaded guilty. Mr. Finlay said all except Peko were first offenders. Twelve men who were found on the various premises were each fined £L ■
