Messrs. Dalgrety and Company, Dunedin, report on March 2S:—At to-day's auction we offered a large catalogue to a full attendance of expoiters, furriers and the local trade. Our offering comprised principally hatters' grades. \ f eiv .parcels of autumns ..eve also on offer. Although the international situation is still somewhat acute, there were some good orders on the market, and a fair weight was purchased foF the United States, also for the Home trade. Competition was keen and fairly well spread, values generally being -a Tshade better, especially on ' racks and autumns. Our crutch-gutted descriptions were again keenly competed for. aiid on the average were ?4d to Id per lb dearer than February rates. The official range of prices is as follows:—Small, 5%d to 7%d per lb: runners 13% d to 14% d; light racks. LSd to 18% d; prune racks, lSd to 18i4d; summers, 13d to 14d; dawny autumns, 18% d to ]9-ftd; second early autumns, 19i6d to 20d; first early autumns. 20d to summer broken, to 13Ud: autumn broken, lod to 17% d; summer blacks. 10% d to 13% d: fawns. 25% d to 30% d" haTeskins, lCkl to ll%d; milky, 12% d" to 13d; first milky, loVid to 16d
