WELLINGTON, Sunday. Commenting on the message from .New Plymouth that iTaranakf doctor were understood to be unanimously opposed to the Social Security Act, as far ■*, I* affectefl them through its medical benefits, the president of the New Zealand branch of the British Medical Association, Dr. P. The crux of the difficulty, he added was that the Government expected the' doctors to enter into a contract, but the doctors d.d not yet have any idea of 7i I the .contract was. All divisions of the branch m Xew Zealand were at present considering proposals put forward Dy the Government concerning, chiefly maternity benefits. A meeting of the central council of the branch was to be held ,n Wellington on Wednesday Vhen it was expected that replies would be received from the divisions.
