SEQUEL TO COLLISION.
DAMAGE CLAIM SUCCEEDS. (From Our Correspondent.) HAMILTON, Saturday. A claim for £150 general damages and £62 3/6 special damages was made by Walter Preston Locke, of Tβ Awamutu (Mr. VV. J. King) against Mre. Faith Mark, of Te Puke, and Mies Alison Clara McNaughton (Mr. K. L. Sandford), before Mr. S. L. Paterson, S.M., in the Magistrate's Court. A further claim of £61 12/6 special damages and £20 general damages was made against the defendants by Linton William Wellington, farmer, of Te Awamutu. The claims arose out of an accident that occurred on the Great South Road at Te Rapa on May 11, 1938, between Wellington's car, driven by Locke, and a car owned by Mre. Mark and driven by Mies McNaughton. The second plaintiff, Wellington, was travelling in the .ear driven by Locke. Judgment was given for the plaintiff Wellington for the full amount claimed, £81 12/6, and for the plaintiff Locke for £162 3/6, including £100 general damages, and coete.
