FIRE STATION SITE.
Considering that our city is rapidly growing and extending to the eastern suburbs and that we have already two large fire stations on the western side of the city, the site I would suggest for the fire station is on the Parnell Rise —-the old school site, the upper or high portion, with two street frontages. This would be w-khin two minutes' motoring of Queen Street! I would suggest that this take the place of the present small Parnell station. This site is no further from Queen Street than the Windmill site, handy to Newmarket, Epsom and Remuera. Failing this site being obtainable, there is plenty of vacant land on the right-hand side opposite the old school site at present for lease. T feel sure this would meet with general approval. CITIZEN.
