BY-LAW BREACHES.
SPEEDING MOTORIST FINED. The usual long list of 50 or more cases was heard in the Police Court this morning, when persons were charged with breaches of the traffic by-laws. The majority of the defendants were motorists, and the fines ranged from 10/ to £2, the latter amount being imposed upon a motorist who had been caught speeding at 50 miles an hour on Tamaki Drive. The motorist explained that this occurred before the legislation was passed limiting the speed to 30 miles an hour.
