SURF LIFE-SAVING.
KAREKARE CLUB. At the second annua] meeting of the Karekare Surf Life-Saving Club, held on Monday at the Y.M.C.A., a satisfactory report on the past year's work was presented. Although the club had not been called on to make a rescue a patrol had been on duty every week-end and public holiday throughout the year. The election of officers resulted: —Patron, Mr. A. E. Odlin: president, Mr. D. Badham; secretary, Mr. E. de Suza: treasurer, Mr. J. Beale; captain, Mr. L. Reed: vicecaptain, Mr. J.'Boyes; committee, Messrs. F. Odlin, W. Aldred and D. Badham, jun.
