SCENIC ATTRACTIONS.
, EAST COAST PUBLICITY. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) OPOTIKI, this day. A special meeting of the Borough Council was held" last night to consider the recommendation of the finance com- 1 ' mittee to take two pages of a publicity booklet on the East Coast. It was explained that 20,000 booklets were being printed, to embrace districts from Rotorua to Hastings, including the East Coast. Various other districts were taking space and Opotiki business people were taking three pages. It was stated that the new East Coast road was being put in order and that the new Raukokore Bridge was being built immediately. It was pointed out that EaSt Coast districts * had been neglected in the past and that it was desirable to draw tourists to these" wonderful scenic attractions, including those on the Motu and Matawai roads to Gisborne and the new coastal road in the vicinity of Opotiki. The council decided to take two pages.
