Young Woman Sees Suicide of
Bookmaker. MAN'S JUMP TO DEATH. (Received 12.30 p.m.) SYDNEY, this day. A man threw himself over the cliff at Echo Point, Katoomba, falling 1000 ft into the valley below. A search party later found his body impaled on a tree stump. The man was identified as George Wilkinson, aged 35, a Sydney bookmaker. A young woman whom Wilkinson asked to hold his overcoat witnessed the tragedy.
