CLAY-BIRD SHOOTING. AUCKLAND GUN CLUB. The Auckland Gun Club lield Its monthly meeting 011 its grounds at Pakuranga on Saturday before a large attendance. Results :— Two-bird Eyeopener.—L. Bedford, 16yds; was the only one to shoot the possible, while D. Ewing, 20yds, S. Roberta, 20yds, A. V, Wright, 16yd«, W. Turner, 18yds, C. Hodge, 17yds, and Francis 18yds, tied for second place. Seven-bird Handicap Match. —This drew a lield of 20 and. the following shot six birds and divided the sweepstakes: A. V. Wright, 17yd«, E. J. Scholield, 17yds, S. Roberts, 10yd«, and R. D. Wright, 17yds. | Ten-bird Handicap Match (for trophy presented by Mr. T. J. Watts). —Francis, 20yds, R. Nelioff, 22yds, C. Hodge, 22yds, E. J. Scholield. 25yds. and G. Beach, 2-1 yds, all shot nine birds and divided the sweepstake and the trophy. Five-bird First-miss-out Match. — D. Ewing. 27yds, and G. Peach, 23yds, each shot the possible 'and divided the sweepstakes. SOOTHES AWAY
