The Hon. J. Trevethick arrived in .Auckland this morning by the Limited express.
Air. C. Clark, who lia? been postmaster at Whangarei for the past two years, has received advice of his promotion to the position of postmaster at Hastings.
The Alinister of Justice, the Hon. 11. G. R. Alason, ALP., arrived in Auckland this morning by the Limited. He will return to Wellington by the Limited this evening.
Mr. J: W. Mattliewson, general manager of the Union Steam Ship Company, who has been on a trip to England and the East, will arrive by the Narbada at Auckland on September 4.
Air. H. Murray Reid, assistant engineer of, the Otamatea County Council, North Auckland, has been appointed to a similar position with the Dannevirke County Council, from among 50 applicants.
Dean J. B. Brocklehurst, of Napier, who is visiting England to raise funds for the reconstruction of the Napier Cathedral, which was destroyed in the 1931 earthquake, expects to leave England on October 12 and arrive in Auckland on November 18.
