PROPOSED SCENIC ROAD.
MEETING THIS EVENING. A public meeting is to lie held at the Auckland University College to-night to discuss the proposed scenic road through the Waitakere Ranges, and all interested are invited to attend. The meeting has been called under the auspices of the Auckland branch of the New Zealand Institute of Horticulture. Since the scheme was revived some weeks ago it has received the support of many Auckland local bodies, while the Minister of Public Works, the Hon. R. Semplc, was reported 011 Saturday as expressing the hope that the locai bodies in Auckland would "get busy" on the project.
