SUMMER IN THE SOUTH.
BIG ATTENDANCE AT SHOW. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) INVEKCARGILL, this day. The thermometer registered 81 degrees in the shade yesterday, the reading being the highest this summer. Steady warm rain which fell during the night will greatly benefit pastures after the long dry spell.
To-day the weather is perfect for People's Day at the Southland Show and there is a great influx of visitors from the country.
