IRISH "SWEEP" PRIZES.
CONFISCATION IN CANADA.
(Received 1.30 p.m.) OTTAWA, June 0. In the wake of the Irish Sweep, it is learned that the Government is preparing legislation nullifying, in the criminal code, a clause which awards the prize money to any. informer, in favour of a clause permitting the Government to confiscate all "sweep" prizes.
