FRAUD CHARGES.
YOUNG AGENT ON TRIAL.
SALE OF SALON SHARES,
I The selling of shares jn the Margaret Rose Salon, Ltd., involved John Hartland Pierson (Mr. Noble), an agent, aged 24, in two charges of false pretences amounting to £350, and one of theft of £391 8/1, and he , appeared at the" Supreme Court to-day before Mr. Justice Ostler for trial. Mr. Hubble appeared Jor the Crovvil, Accused pleaded not guilty,. .
It was alleged that accused obtained £50 from Jesele Muir on January 9 by falsely representing that he had been empowered id,- sell ■;■■ 4oo shares in the company known as the- Margaret Roae Salon, Ltd., such shares being the property of Olive Turnbull; that he obtained £200 from Phyllis Kathleen Bastsey on January 3 by falsely representing that he was the owner of the salon, which coet £1150, and was paid for; and that he received £391 8/1 from Olive Tui Marion Turnbull between October 19 and November 28 on terms requiring him to pay the same to the company and fraudulently omitted to do so, thereby committing theft. The case-ia proceeding.
