ENGINEERS' REUNION.

SERVICE AT ST. DAVID'S. Coming from as far afield as Whangarei, Whakatane and Otorohanga, there was a large attendance of members past and present of engineering units at the seventh annual reunion on Saturday evening. Captain L. F. Rudd was in the chair, and an excellent programme of musical and vocal items was provided under thedire'etion of Major A. T. Dow and Mr. L. A. Eady. A lecture, illustrated by_ lantern elides, on irrigation engineering in the Punjab, was given by Sir Joseph Smith, and items were rendered by Mr. Alan McElwain, Mr. Bent, Mr. G. H. Kessall and Mr. S. Carter. The toast, "Fallen Comrades," was proposed by Lieutenant C. W. Chilcott, and that of "The Corps" by Colonel J. E. Duigan, Major A. T. Dow and Major W. A. Gray responding on behalf of pust and present units respectively. The following were elected to the standing committee:—Major A. T. Dow, Lieutenant M. K. Draflin, Lieutenant F. G. Ashley, Mr. L. A. Eady. At St. David's Church yesterday, morning the annual memorial service for members of .the Auckland Field Company of Engineers'who fell in the Great War was conducted by the Rev. W. Bower Black. About 100' members, under the command of Major W. A. Gray, marched from the corner of Symonds Street and Newton Road-to. the church, and during the service a wreath was placed on the memorial tablet in the church.
