LIAISON OFFICER.
AUSTRALIA ' AND DOMINION. MR. NESBITT'S APPOINTMENT. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) Wellington; this day. ' Wellington will be the headquarters of the first Australian Trade Commissioner in New Zealand, Mr. R. H. Nesbitt, who was recently appointed to that position by tile Federal Cabinet with a view to effecting'a closer liaison between the Commonwealth and the Dominion. It is expected that Mr. Nesbitt will arrive in Wellington about the end of June or early in July.
Ml\ Nesbitt will have an assistant conimissibner and staff and will take .over work which is now carried out in New Zealand by the Australian National Travel Association. On his arrival Mr # . S. W. M. Stilling, New Zealand repre-' sentiitive of the Australian National Travel Association, will return to Australia, and it is understood that he will be inter-State tourist and publicity officer for the New South Wales Government Tourist Department.
The term of Mr. Nesbitt's appointment is five years, and his salary is £1500 per annum, with an entertainment allowance of £300.
