QUOTAS OPPOSED.

The following resolution has been carried by the Franklin Sub-Province of the New Zealand Farmers' Union: —

"The whole of the members of this conference of the farmers of the Franklin district are strongly of opinion that any restrictions of New Zealand's dairying output by quotas or otherwise is not in the interests of our Empire and New Zealand in particular, and further, that this question is of such importance that it oalls fd'r settlement alon<r Imperial lines, with due regard to the suitability of each part of the Emnire to supply those particular commodities most-suitable to its climate and position. Such commodities to then be exchanged, between all parts of the Empire free of all trade 'barriers.'
