"BIBLE MARATHON."
SIXTY READERS TAKE PART,
The "Bible Marathon," which is part of a Bible week-end conducted by Captain and Mrs. H. G. Wallace, of the Salvation Army, began at one o clock this morning, at the Poneonby Road hall of the Salvation Army, when five readers assembled at a table and began a continuous reading of the whole of the New Testament. The readers in turn read a chapter each, and early this morning were relieved by others. It is expected that in all about CO readers will have taken part by the time the reading ie completed, which should be about eight o'clock this evening. At the conclusion of the reading there will be a Bible demonstration.in the hall, m ß.t which Major S. Hayes will preside, and an address will be delivered by Mr. K. H. Melvin.
