BIBLE AND PRAYER.
While most of the churches observed Yesterday as "Bible Sunday," on which occasion was taken to deliver addresses on the Testaments and the work done by the British and Foreign"B.ole Society £ recent years, the members of the Ne.v Zealand 1 Student Christian Movement observed it as the annual day for prayer held bv the World Student Christian Federation. The students held devotional meeting*- in the women s common room at the University College. In the morning the Eev. Ivo E. Bertram, of St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, conducted a eervL. and Mr. D. G. Maw,on pre£ dent of the Auckland branch of the federation, presided in the The Rev. W. Bowor Black, of St. : D*™ff£ spoke in the afternoon on the practice of prayer.
