GANDHI'S DEMAND.
HOME RULE FOR INDIA. CALCUTTA, April 21. "We shall have complete self-rule I within the next few months, or Mr. Vallabhai Patel and the other Congress leaders and myself will again be behind prison bars," said Gandhi when addressing Gujerati peasants, many of whose lands were forfeited during the civil disobedience campaign and sold to third parties. Gandhi assured the peasants that under Swaraj (home rule) Government their land? would be returned, either by the purchasers or by the Government.
