COUPLING COMPETITION.
PRIZE WINNERS ANNOUNCED. SOME VERY SATISFACTORY ENTRIES RECEIVED. j Dear Boys and Girls, — Unless one has tried one's hand at last Wednesday's competition one could not imagine the immense amount of fun that can be obtained by searching through advertisements after words suitable for inclusion in a coupling" paragraph. Really many very humorous paragraphs can be compiled, and in reading through the advertisements one comes upon some quite interesting information. Entries for this competition were not as heavy as was to be expected, but on the whole the standard of the work submitted was quite high. The first prize was awarded to Peter Harding, 17, Oliver Street, Remuera, the second prize going to Dudley Cole, "Tanna Wata," Kaitieke. Kathleen Sheehan was the winner of the third L-vard, whilst fourth place in this competition went to Douglas Ross. SH2\ Certificates of merit were awarded for 1 J " other good work received.
