Miss Amy Johnson, aged 22, the first woman to qualify for the Air Ministry's license for a ground engineer, who proposes to make a solo flight to Australia, is at present endeavouring to find a British aircraft firm to sponsor the flight. . . , Miss Johnson has already received offers from American and German firms, but she hopes for aid from a British f.rm, il to enable her to make a start. If sm-cess-s ful, she may return by air. She proe poses to follow a different route from y that taken by Hr. Bert Hinkler and Mr, Jp, C. Chichester.
