• i McCONACHY AT PUKEKOHS. __ PUKEKOHE, this day. Clark McConachy, New Zealand's professional billiards champion, met E. J. Morrison. one of New Zealand's most outstanding amateurs, at Puke to he" last evening m a game of 750 points up, McConachj- conceding 450 points. The professional was in fine form, and compiled breaks of 271, 12S. 53, and 45 in rapid succession. He ran oat a. winner by 76 points. Morrison's best break was 49. In a snooker match, McConachy conceded three blacks, and the game was evenly contested. Tie scorcs were even with the black ball on the table, and the game ended in favour of Morrison. McConachy. also gave an exhibition of trick shots, and proved himself a great expoonent of the game. Later in the evening he gave an exhibition at the Franklin Men's Club. McConachy will play an exhibition game with M. O'Donohue in the Newmarket Salon De- Luxe this evening. The gam* win be 750 np. and O'Donohue will receive 400. McConachy will also give an exhibition of fancy and snooker shots.
