CONCILIATION COUNCIL.
CLOTHING FACTORIES DISPUTE. FEW QUESTIONS FOR ARBITRATION The fourth session of the clothing factory trades' dispute was held to-day before Conciliation Commissioner P. Hally, when consideration was given to the claims of tho male cutters and pressors. After lengthy deliberations • complete settlement was arrived at on •11 points in dispute with the exception of the number of weekly working hours and wages. These matter* will be submitted to the Arbitration Court for settlement.
The assessors for the employers were Messrs. J. Hunter, S. Robinson, and A. F. McArthur (supported by the emplayers' advocate, Mr. S. E. Wright), and the workers were represented by Messrs. W. S. Moxsom, S. Trcbilcock, and H. B. I<ogan. At tho conclusion of the session Mr. Hally congratulated the parties on the manner in which they had conducted the dispute, if it could bo called such. It had been an absoluto pleasure to preside trver the proceedings. The representatives in reply expressed their appreciation for the impartial manner in which JMr. Hally had conducted the proceedings'.
