TORTURED BY INDIQEBTION. "Couldn't Lie Down in Bed." "Some two months ago I was suffering: from acute flatulence. My doctor prescribed, but after three weeks . I was no better, and the pain was such that 1 could not lie down In bed. My daughter reminded me of the good Anti-Acldo had done me on a previous occasion, and I decided to try it again. I have no hesitation in saying that I am now perfectly 111, and do not get flatulence arter eating. This I attribute solely to taking AntiAcldo." So writes a Chrlstchurch lady to the proprietors of Anti-Acldo, and the incident once again emphasises the seriousness ofiindigestion and the necessity of taking Anti-Acldo promptly. Flatulence, which means the presence or gas in the stomach or alimentary tract, is quickly dispelled by Antl-Acido, while a v short course of Anti-Acldo generally effects a complete cure in the worst cases. Price if/6. All chemists and stores.—(Ad.) The Tarim River in China rises in well-watered mountains and has' a length of' several hundred miles, over a part of .which it exceeds in size many of the well-known rivers of the world. But it never reaches the sea. In the sands and salt flats of the eastern part of the Tarim Desert the river is lost by evaporation.
