AUCKLAND SHAREMARKET.

TRANSACTIONS ON 'CHANGE.

Bank of New Zealand shares are a shade easier, having sold at 58/6. Waihi shares had further sales at 9/9, and Auckland Gas at 22/4. Transactions took place in South British Insurance yesterday afternoon at 57/6. ■

Sales are not frequent in Howard Smith, Ltd., but to-day a line was transferred at 38/' J. Wilsons Cement had business at 38/, and Thames Theatre at 18/. Sales took place at the third call yesterday in Taranaki Oil at 10/6. New Zealand and River Plate shares have firmed to buyers at 28/6, with no quoted sellers. Devonport Ferry were offered at 24/9 to-day, but the buyer would not advance above 24/. L.0.8. Timber were again offered to-day at 36/, and this brought a buyer at five shilling under that figure.
