WHAXGAREI, this day.
For tbe first time in 22 years an inaction of |>olice stations in the Xorth is being made by'the New Zealand Commissioner of Police. The last inspection was made by the late Mr. Dinnie.
Commissioner W. B. Mcllreney arrived last night, accompanied by Inspector J. Hollis. and to-day they went on to Kaitaia. via Hikurangi, Oliaeawai and Kaeo. They will stay at Kaitaia to-nijrnt and at Dargavilie to-niorro»v night, and insj>ect the stations en route.
