At a meeting of the council of the New Zealand, Amateur Swiimmlng Association an application was received from the Auckland Centre for re ignition as a New Zealand record of the performance of Norman lloss, the American swimmer, who in Auckland ewam 2iOyds In lini Bl 2-ss. It also asked that steps should be taken through the International Federation for n worlds record to be granted to Uoks for bin performance of (Sin 44 2->s over r>oo metres. The secretary reported that ac Koss was the rules of the association, eligible for a New Zealand record.
