RENOWN AT BARBADOES.
MAN EOST OVERBOARD. H.M.S. RENOWN (Barbados), March 27. Fine weather marked the entire voyage of H.M.s. Renown to Barbados, which was reached on the afternoon of the 25th. The Prince of Wales gave dinner parties every night. The Prince and his staff were entertained to dinner by the officers of the wardroom on the _.2iul. A merry evening was passed, the Prince ente.ing enthusiastically into the fun. A distressing fatality occurred at three o'clock in the afternoon of the 24th. Gunner W. J. Lush, of the Royal Marine Artillery, was sitting on a wire guard rail on the boat deck, when the fastening gave way, and Lush fell overboard. A lioat was lowered smartly, but after searching for nearly an hour the boat Was '.'-hoisted, but the ship remained in the vicinity a considerable time longer. The Prince of Wales has heen gazetted a Grand Cross of the Victorian Order.
