A meeting of the Wellington branch of the Enginedrivers, Firemen and Cleaners' Association adopted a resolution protesting against the increasing cost of the necessaries of life, and urging the Government to take action in the interests of the community. Attention was drawn to the fact toat it is in New Zealand's own produce that the increase in prices is moat noticeable, and this is considered altogether unwarranted.
