AX IMPORTANT DECISION.

Company againet the judgment of the New Zealand Courts in the action brought by the Wellington Harbour Board. The chairman (Mr. J. H. Gunson) explained that the Auckland Board was also interf? ted » and by the decision would be entiled to recover the payment of dnea to December 31et totalling £3800. It was explained that far come time pact the Union Company has had a dispute with the two Harbour Boarde in regard to -the payment of dues on dts mail eteamere, the company claiming that omd«r its contract with the Government it .wae exempt from payment. Both "the Wellington and Auckland Boards held otherwise, and in an action brought by the formed Board against the company judgment was given in the Board's favour.
