The Rev. ST. Turner, of the Methodist Mission, leaves Auckland to take charge of the Gore circuit..
Dr. J. E. Fares, house surgeon, Xapier Hospital, has volunteered for service at the front, with the New Zealand Expeditionary or British forces.
Mr Charles Palmer has been urged by Parnell ratepayers to accept nomination for a seat on the City Council, and has decided to offer himself as a candidate.
The Rev. John Nixon, >who at different timfesPwas in charge of the Webb Street and Sydney Street Primitive Methodist Churches, Wellington, nae been appointed to the Methodist Church at Richmond Avenue, Grey Lynn.
Mr S. Brittain Bull was congratulated at the sitting of the Pourtrykeepers , Conference upon having been appointed town clerk of Takapuna. Flatterin<* reference was made to the good Mr. Bull had done ior the industry and the Association.
It is understood that requisitions are being presented to Mr George Knight a member of the City Council, and 'to Colonel Bartlett, asking them to accept nomination for seats on the Hospital and Charitable Aid Board, the former as a city candidate, and the latter as the representative of the North Shore districts.
