IN CAMP.
SIXTH HAURAKI REGIMENT. . (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent) PAEROA, Tuesday. The first portion of the Sixth Hauraki Regiment went into camp at Paeroa to-day. The troops began to arrive in camp at 10 a.m., and set to work to pitch the tents ;.nd prepare for the main •body. So far, about 300 men arc under canvas, and about double that number will arrive on Friday. The company is under Lieut.-C'oJonel Porriit (officer commanding the district), assisted by Captain Derrom as adjutant. The men are from Paeroa, Te Aroha, Thames, Coromandel. Ttotorua, and from the Bay of Plenty districts. The site of the camp fe a- very suitable one, and there is plenty of scope for training, while the Paeroa rifle range is within a mile of the camp.
