ITALIAN STEAMER TORPEDOED IN ATLANTIC.
GERMANS FEAR ITALY'S ANGER.
ROME, April 0. The Italian steamer Liugi Parodi, from Baltimore, is regarded as lost. Newspapers attribute the loss of the vessel to a German submarine in the Atlantic. They state that the Germans did not disclose the sinking of the vessel, fearing Italy's anger. The families of the crew have now been promised pensions.
The cargo steamer Northlands was launched fifteen years ago, and was owned in Cardiff. She was a vessel of 2,77G tone. "
