GOEBEN AND BRESLAU IN BLACK SEA.
CHASED OFF CRIMEA BY RUSSIAN FLEET.
TURKS ADMIT LOBS OF MEIMWIEH,
PETROGRAD, April & An official communique states: "Our fleet near the Crimean coast exchanged shots at long range with the Goeben and Breslau, and pursued them until dusk. -• "During the night our torpedo boats encountered enemy cruisers 100 miles from the Bosphorus. The enemy opened a vigorous fire, but avoided aa engagement." An official message from Constantinople states that the Turkish cruiser Medjidieh was sunk by a mine off Otchatoff, in the Black Sea. Turkish warships saved the crew. The cruiser was torpedoed to prevent it being raised.
