GERMANS CLAIM THAT FORTS SANK THE BATTLESHIPS. FOBTS RESTOBED TO WORKABLE CONDITION. LONDON, April 6. The "Cologne Gazette" publishes a German officer's account of the bombardment of the Chanak forts, in the Dardanelles. The officer claims that the forts sank the Bouvet, the Irresistible, and the Ocean, and describee the heavr damage done by the Allies" shells.
