MOrXT ALBERT BOROUGH COUNCIL.
An ordinary meeting of the Mount Albert Borough Council was held last evening, when there were present: The Mayor (Mr. \Murdorh McLean). Messrs. T. Hodgson. C. H. Page. J. Bridges. F. J. Harrison, nod E. S. Imvood.
Storm Water.—lt was decided, on the Mayor's motion, that a special storm-water dralnaxp area be wnitltutpcl In the neighbourticxxl of Kitchener Road, end that a poll be takeu Tor the raising ot a loan of £1500 for carrying out the work. The Mayor remarked that It was a step in the rlSlLt direction to drain the area, seeing that the Council -was in a position to do
LOYAL FOUNTAIN OF FRIENDSHIP LODGE.
A special mcctlnc of tho above lodge was held last evening In the lodge room Lome Street, Bro. l>. Conuolly. X.G.. presiding. At the close of the business the lodge went Into harmony, and amongst the large number present were tho ofllrers and brethren of the Court City of Auckland Foresiers' I/odgp. A pretfptitat'.on was made to I* (I nro. C. V. N. Harris, also sergeant in the New Zealand Expeditionary Force. In making the presentation. I'.P.GJU. Bro. E Leydon spoke in very high antf appreciative terms of the work of Uie brother In the lodgt>. also of the position he now holde In the New Zealand Force. During the evening Tiro. 15. Lcydnn, P.P.G.M.. pive a short welcoming address to the visiting lodge, and musical honours were accorded them. Bro. stltclibury. P.C.U.. and Bro Ifciddley, r.C.R., on behalf of their lod~e returned very warm thanks. Items were i rendered by the Mud- 1 ford. Skerret. OKane. Martin.
